2011 Dodge Charger Revealed at SEMA

The new and improved 2011 Dodge Charger was unveiled at the 2010 SEMA Show in Las Vegas on Tuesday, October 26th.

Motor Trend reports that the new V-6 model with 3.6-liter Pentastar will produce 305 horsepower, an improvement that will give the Charger a considerable edge over other models in the same segment. The V-6 and V-8 models will only be offered with a five-speed automatic transmission initially, but an eight-speed automatic transmission is in the works and will be available relatively soon. A new stylish exterior with a hugely improved back end lends a sleeker look to the new version.

Although the new Charger has received a considerable facelift, the price has only seen a moderate increase. The new Charger R/T, which has seen the re-introduction of the basic Charger R/T package, has even dropped in price, at just $30,170, with the optional Road and Track package raising it to $33,170. For the top-of-the-line Charger R/T Max, the price peaks at $35,170.

Experts are saying that the only negative news about the new Chargers is the absence of a high-performance SRT model. Huliq.com notes that, “The Charger SRT8 was practically unrivaled in the segment and perhaps that has something to do with the lack of a trim line above the R/T, or maybe Dodge is just trying to create a little room between the Charger and Challenger.” No matter the reason, it remains to be seen if Dodge is just waiting for the right time to introduce a new SRT model.

Do you have any 1969 reproduction front ends, with hood to go on my 2012 Charger, or Danko Style.
